A New Year Ahead!

Welcome to the new year of 2017! It's taken me a little while to get back into the swing of writing on here - as well as my other Crafty Pegs blog on Blogger - but I'm catching up with all my internet things since coming home from the coast.

Personal issues have been bothering me, and have only just worked themselves out. So, now, down to business.

I've joined up with Brislets. It's a new venture to keep Lynda's Crafty Pegs alive. Seeing I took last year off to refinance and refurbish my stall, it's going to take a little while for me to get back on my feet with a few new things.

For one thing; I need a marquee. Nobody will hire out a stall space to me unless I carry one. And there's not that many markets which are indoor unless I really want to travel up or down the coast - and I don't have the contacts to do that (not that I won't travel, it's just I don't have enough money for a hotel/motel to stay somewhere).

Anyway, I've been working on new things again, and I'm hoping to sell them at the markets.

I'm also working on a new huge tapestry - which is a personal project. It's a long, thin tapestry of Lake Como, Italy. However, it's an old tapestry, which was trammed and the person who did that part, didn't finish it. So, I scored it second-hand. Anyway, I've been managing with it as it's missing a few threads here and there. So, improvising is a big thing for me. I'm glad I can do that with a tapestry of this size; and it's a lot of fun too!

Well, that's about all that's been happening. I've worked out a lot of things to do with my craft gear. I'm cleaning out the house (but the craft gear isn't the target this year) and I'm going really well making new things. Until my next post, keep creating!
