A Busy Month Ahead

I have had a busy month behind me, and I have another busy month in front of me. And who said taking a year off was going to be relaxing? Believe me, it hasn't been. I've been just as busy this year organising myself with new things to work on, selling my Grandmother's kitchen table (while buying a new one to take its place), then reorganising myself with markets at the end of this year.

However, I've been asked to attend a market next month at Enoggera Bowls Club here in Brisbane; by one of the members of Brislets (a great bartering community here in brisbane) and I decided to join the group and take part. What a great venture to take part in! It will cost me nothing to to the markets and I'm hoping to make so many contacts while I'm there.

Well, yesterday, I organised my market boxes and made them not only lighter, but easier to cart around, and I ended up with a few little boxes I could use around my workbench instead of having so much junk around. All the new things I wanted to put into the markets in the coming year are pulling together nicely. I've begun including some door-stops and have found myself a good lot of over-sized pegs at a cheap store (and keep on buying them out of stock!

I am happily working on more pin cushions - which I found a cup-cake stand for at a Vinnies for the grand price of $5.00 to purchase! What a find! Once it was cleaned up, I was amazed at how pretty it looked and it held over 20 pin cushions, took up less space than the original box they were being held in and I could decorate it and it matches my decor of my stall! I'm so pleased!

I have also been asked to sell some of my pin cushions in the Logan Art Gallery store - well, okay, I've been asked to fill out the application for it... there's no promises made; not until next week when I find out if they'll allow me in. I really do hope they allow me to put in around 10 or so to start with and then I may be able to sell something there, and some at the markets. It'd be so good to pull some kind of income from my needlework. Well, that's all the news from this month. Until my next post, keep creating!
