Busily Preparing For New Work
I've been busy - really busy. And not just working on a new big painting (which I'm taking my time doing), but I've been busily getting in and working on getting my workbench ready for the next 6 months of work to get back into the boutique markets for next year.
Today, I spent an hour pulling together the workbench, cleaning it and getting everything straightened out so I could work on it properly. This meant throwing some things away, storing things in new containers and making sure I have things exactly where I need them.
I'm looking forward to the coming months of work where I can get my hands on the right kind of paint, right kind of stain and brushes without having to search too hard around my bench for them. I have yet to go through all the paint to see which ones have gone off and which are still okay to use. But I'm sure it won't take long to do that.
I have bought myself a new brush stand so I can grab the right brushes for my needs. Doesn't it look great? I think so. I bought it at Eckersleys at Underwood - where they have a brand new store there, just opened 3 weeks ago! I'll be going there more often now I have a great art store so close by. And I do need a table easel to do the flower portraits; and their easels are top knotch. Anyway, I'm going to keep going with my new work and update my photos as I go along in the coming months. Until my next post, keep creating.
