The Year 2020

Well, what I can say about this year? I haven't been around and there's been a good reason why: I've been painting and creating my butt off.

Yeah, I nearly had this site get closed down by Wix... and I'm sorry to say, but really I just wanted to have enough paintings on hand to update it to the point you guys will love what I've been doing.

Logan Art Gallery closed - along with so many other places - due to Covid, and I lost out with volunteer work. It hasn't been a great year for the arts scene. But then, it's been a horrible year for everyone; and so delving into my arts and writing is the best thing for me. I've also been delving into my garden and knitting as well... and so when the Logan Art Gallery asked me to take part in their Pop-Up store again this year, I jumped at doing it, and I added in plenty of newer and lovelier pieces.

But the paintings I've done since I've turned my living room into a studio twice a week - and have been enjoying picking my own music on vinyl - is the best thing of all. I have loved throwing down the drop cloth and getting the tables out early in the morning and just jumping into the painting; and the best thing is that I don't have to go out, pack the car or be worried about things getting wet if it's raining or storming.

And This year, I've accomplished so much in my paintings. I have completed 4 gorgeous pieces of work! Just go and have a good look at them! They range from Brunswick Heads to Sandgate... and there's going to be so many more paintings to pick from in the coming months you'll be asking me to talk to you all about what I'm doing next... as I've got people on Facebook asking me about my next works all the time.

Well I hope you are all keeping well, and keeping on creating, as I am. I have an exhibition for next year at the Logan Artists Association; and I'm going to put myself in for an exhibition at the Logan Art Gallery as well; and I'm thankful everything is reopening again. But then I'll see what other galleries are going to be open around Brisbane to get my works recognised as well as time goes on, and we can venture further afield. So, please do take good care of yourselves and keep on painting and creating in your lives. I am.

First and foremost, I must apologise for the long gap between my posts. My other blog on Blogger isn't visited as much either - so you guys aren't missing out on anything. I haven't been well. I've ha
