Okay, It's been a little while since I wrote here, and I'm feeling kinda guilty about it - alright! I'm feeling really guilty about it!
Painting was a big thing for me to do and seeing it was so quiet at Brunswick Heads and I took advantage of the peace - and of the fact that were were absolutely zero children running around to disturb that lovely silence I wanted so badly - and took up 2 days to do some solid painting. I tried to work on 2 paintings, but ended up working on only 1 and bringing it home to hammer out the details on it.
And today was my Social Art Group at the Logan Artists Association, and man, did I get in some detail work! I had a great time doing some of the work there... and it was working out so well!
And... well, I've decided to take part in some of the Christmas/NYE art display time. During the Christmas Holidays, the LAA have an exhibition - a Pop-Up Exhibition - and I grabbed an application for it. Well, the painting in the background of this wonderful blog you see, is going to be there. The best thing is that it's going to be for sale! Yes! You're going to have the chance to see one of my first landscapes up on the wall and be able to buy it too!
I'm so excited about this! I hope you are!Anyway... I've got 2 other paintings to get in and work on for another 2 exhibitions next year... and more work to do for myself. I want to save some money to head over to Adelaide to meet up with some craft people there. If I can't afford that, I'll be putting money aside to do a driving trip around South East Queensland in the next year or so. This means getting a different vehicle - one which will also be something I can sleep in as well as it be a small studio for me. But that's some plans for next year to look forward to.
